A-level Physics is taught following the AQA syllabus but lessons are adapted to take other boards’ special requirements into account. The order in which the topics are covered can be adapted, where possible, to students’ school preference. This often provides a more supportive environment in which to secure knowledge and prepare students for tests and mock exams at school.
Specifically, in year 12, A-level learning skills and the appropriate mathematical techniques required for the course supplement the core material.
In year 13, students receive support materials with additional background knowledge to ensure a fuller understanding of the concepts studied. These also provide examples of how formulas are applied to given situations. Focussing on past paper questions allows students to practise their board’s particular exam style.
Tuition has improved my understanding of both biology and chemistry. Especially in chemistry my understanding and exam technique has greatly improved with Jane.
Chemistry and biology have greatly improved. Chemistry went from a C in Y12 to an A* in January’
Revision lessons were massively important. They helped me learn the content. They also helped with exam practice, with how to achieve top marks. Learning is enjoyable. The tutors are really friendly and will help with everything’
I feel much more confident in my chemistry …. all the tutors are really friendly and approachable. I started getting A grades after I started coming here’
Lots of question practice in specific topics meant that I became more confident in specific areas of weakness. I liked being in the same small group every week. My grade has improved and I feel much more confident.’
